Specialized Programs
- Diabetes Rehabilitation
An individualized exercise plan will be created for you. At each session, you will be monitored for: blood sugar, blood pressure, heart rate and weight. Our goal is to teach you how to put exercise into your life and see the optimal results of controlling your diabetes symptoms. A Dietitian is available for consultation. - Lymphedema (Complete Decongestive Therapy)
The lymphatic system is responsible for filtering normal blood toxins to maintain your body's healthy circulation. When this system breaks down, a limb and/or trunk can swell with accumulated fluids. A certified Lymphedema Physical Therapist will assist with lymph drainage, compression bandaging and education so that you can gain independent management of the condition. - Breast Cancer Rehabilitation
While enduring the treatment necessary to survive cancer, most people find themselves dealing with severe fatigue and generalized weakness. Our specific rehab program focuses on safe and gradual total body strengthening to allow return to activities of daily living, including returning to work with confidence and energy. - Incontinence
When our bodies are no longer able to regulate and control our bladder, it is time to see a specialist. An individualized program will address pelvic floor muscle weakness leading to significant improvement in control of the bladder and/or bowel. - PELVICORE Exercise Class
This exercise program is specifically designed to improve pelvic floor and CORE strength and control. This program pairs well with incontinence issues, but is not limited to only this area of dysfunction. It is a fun program that will get your whole body stronger, while improving balance and coordination. - "LSVT BIG"
Parkinson's Disease (PD) affects men and women between the ages of 50 and 70. It is a neurological degenerative disease that will attack a person's balance and coordination for things like walking, turning around, getting up and down from a chair, and even rolling in bed. Immediate exercise has been found to be very significant in slowing down the brain's deterioration of dopamine receptors. This "BIG" exercise program is ESSENTIAL for person's just diagnosed with PD, and for those already with PD noticing that their movement is becoming more difficult. - "WALK TALL"
A comprehensive movement and exercise program for the prevention and management of Osteoporosis (OP). This program is based on preventing, arresting, and/or reversing the all-too-common changes in posture that occur with OP. Education is provided that will allow you to make safe and effective choices for your bone health. Safety is Key: NOT ALL EXERCISE FOR OSTEOPOROSIS IS SAFE AND SOME CAN BE DANGEROUS. - Running Club
Open to new runners and experienced veterans! This is a social running group meeting 1 - 2 times a week for short and middle distances (2 - 6 miles). Come share your love for running and mentor a new runner. With the benefit of good camaraderie, you are sure to enjoy this group!
